The Welcome Center is a part of Harvard Public Affairs and Communications and serves as the
Bachelor's Degree required with 3 plus years of Customer Service and Project Management experience. Managing the daily operation of the Welcome Center and student staff. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google doc Databases, Web Analytics, Web-based Management and reporting tools.
Ability to handle and organize large groups of people, public speaking in front of large groups; deliver tours as needed including providing historical and general information; assist with special events, including setup and break down as needed; and an ability to work with a diverse population of University visitor's.
Able to manage a busy office at peak times, interact with HPAC team and the Harvard Community. Overseeing and managing the editorial calendar and staff committee for the center's Welcome Wall; developing, managing and scheduling Take Over Moments. Interfacing with Harvard University Information Technology Team on maintenance and repair and ensuring accessibility requirements are met through audio or text. Strong writing and interpersonal skills with a diverse community and an understanding of customer service are imperative. Must be highly organized, detail oriented and accuracy in work are essential. This position requires a strong ability in priority setting and time management.
Professional and friendly demeanor, comfortable with speaking in public and engaging with diverse internal and external audiences.
