The successful Development Officer candidate must possess a baccalaureate degree, must be committed to the values of a liberal arts education, demonstrate intellectual curiosity, possess the ability to directly solicit gifts, be persistent in following up with donor prospects, possess excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, and have the highest ethical standards. Experience in Development is desirable, and 4-6 years of experience in fundraising and capital campaigns is preferred.
