The International Admissions Office, located within the Office of International Affairs (OIA) at Indiana University Purdue University, Indianapolis (IUPUI), seeks dynamic candidates to play a primary role in fulfilling the University charge to increase enrollment of qualified international undergraduate students. As part of a highly effective marketing and recruitment team, this position develops global communications targeted to prospective international undergraduate students. S/he will deploy marketing campaigns using Salesforce CRM tools, and create and manage a diverse array of web based, electronic, print, and social media resources. Expertise in analyzing data for ROI through internal reports, Tableau, and analytics tools on websites and various social media platforms is essential.
Evaluates current digital and print communications used in the international student recruitment and enrollment process to keep current with marketing trends. Designs and deploys cyclical marketing campaigns for the admissions funnel beginning with prospects through the final yield stage. Works collaboratively with international admissions staff, key staff in OIA, and appropriate university departments while ensuring adherence to IU branding guidelines to create cutting edge recruitment and admission-related digital and print assets.
Supervises the International Recruitment Outreach Manager (IROM) who is responsible for strategic recruitment efforts to increase enrollment of international students studying in U.S. high schools, community colleges, and English language centers and who manages social and visual media tools and the International Student Ambassador program. Works with the IROM and the international recruitment team to develop and implement an annual strategic plan to target key US markets. Allocates special projects and outreach activities to address opportunities that arise.
Represents IUPUI at international fairs, conferences, high school visits, and other recruitment events to recruit qualified international undergraduate students. Builds relationships with students, parents, counselors, and IUPUI academic departments to facilitate the recruitment and enrollment of international undergraduate students. Collaborates with members of the international admissions recruitment team in the development of content for presentations, workshops, webinars, and on-line chats.
With international admission colleagues, responsible for co-writing an annual strategic international recruitment plan that educates the IUPUI university community about both the opportunities and obstacles in using marketing and social media tools in the recruitment of international undergraduate students. Stays current in the international education field by reading publications, attending and presenting at regional and national conferences, and participating in professional organizations and networks associated with international student recruitment.
REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, plus 3 years relevant experience in admissions, communications, university services, or marketing related field and 1 year experience with development of CRM software applications to deploy marketing campaigns.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Strong cross-cultural communication skills, excellent oral and written communication skills and facility with a broad range of marketing platforms and applications. Ability to work independently, under limited supervision, and provide solutions to complex problems. Ability to travel internationally. Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize work effectively.
Master’s degree. Experience with data analytics and familiarity with various software applications for reporting. May be concurrent with experience.
