Join the collegiate athletics program that has more varsity sports programs than any other Division I program in the country. You will play a key role in helping to manage the office of Athletic Communications and publicize select varsity sports for the Department of Athletics. You will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Athletic Communications office and help implement a strategic digital outreach plan for all teams. You will run the office and serve as Athletics department spokesperson in the absence of the Director.
A key part of your duties will be communicating the student-athlete experience across multiple communications and marketing platforms, including print, digital and social media, multimedia, media relations, and internal communications. You'll promote positive branding, handle press coverage, and plan and implement strategic communications to various constituents. You'll support assigned sports to ensure that appropriate storylines are created and communicated; that statistics, schedules, rosters, game recaps and other information is communicated to the appropriate media outlets; and ensure that game-day programs and support materials are created. You will help with enhancing both the external and internal image of the Athletics department.
