Social Media Manager – Corporate Communications - Orlando
Florida Hospital Orlando seeks to hire a Social Media Manager who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.
Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,107-bed Florida Hospital Orlando, serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America. Florida Hospital Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country. Corporate Communications and Community Partnerships serves as a clearinghouse for strategic external communications across the division. Our goal is to grow and protect the Florida Hospital brand by cultivating a positive image of the organization, and minimize any negativity that comes from being a prominent health care leader. We intentionally elevate awareness about Florida Hospital's strategic initiatives to our stakeholders. These objectives are achieved by pitching and fielding media inquiries, engaging directly with our community, and crafting executive communication.
The Social Media Manager position develops strategy, messaging, content and engagement with social/digital media consumers across all Florida Hospital's social/digital media outlets. Supports the efforts of the Florida Hospital Public Affairs teams in social/digital media by creating original content, developing relationships with strategic partners, advocating on behalf of the organization and protect the Florida Hospital brand. This position is stationed within the Corporate Communications team, but must work closely with Florida Hospital marketing social and digital media teams, Florida Hospital communications colleagues statewide and the Florida Hospital Public Affairs teams. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Strong written, organizational and interpersonal communication skills are required.
Ability to produce high-quality videos and written stories.
Understanding and use of social and digital media in a corporate setting is required.
Must have a strong news judgment and understanding of crisis communications.
Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
Must be hard-working and ethical.
Must have knowledge of social media management platforms, video production systems, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, Powerpoint, and Excel.

Four-year college degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or similar area.
Minimum of three years' experience managing social/digital media in a corporate advocacy setting.
Demonstrated successful performance of social media campaigns and content production.
Strong communication, writing, video, photography, graphic design, organization and computer skills are required.

Develop strategies to create content, post and engage with consumers and key stakeholders in the social/digital media space. These efforts should focus around the Public Affairs initiatives of developing relationships with key partners, advocacy on behalf of the organization and protecting the Florida Hospital brand. These efforts should be coordinated with the social/digital Marketing and Marketing/Communications teams statewide.
Produce and develop quality multimedia content (written stories, videos and photos) that will have high performance not just on Florida Hospital channels but will also have notable engagement with other social users. The manager should be able to identify and build relationships with journalists, bloggers and others.
Produce social media stories and content by independently conducting research, interviews, writing and video production.
Create Public Affairs-driven editorial calendars for long-term social media postings, and also post live multimedia supporting during media events and other strategic activities.
In working with Public Affairs leaders, create a unified voice for Florida Hospital's strategic initiatives across all social media platforms.
Exercise a strong command for news and news judgment, and apply these standards in content.
Must produce compelling, audience-specific content about varying and sometimes complex issues.
Engage and monitor key Florida Hospital stakeholders in the social/digital media space and use excellent customer service skills.
Understand the graphic limitations of each type of social media site. Ability to create simple to moderate graphics or infographics independently.
Be involved and engaged in social/digital media daily and keep abreast of developing trends.
Assist with social/digital and news media tracking initiatives.
Other duties as assigned to support Corporate Communications.
