Join us and make a difference every day.Job Details:The Bobst International Center was founded in 1997 so that physicians and patients from abroad could obtain appropriate referrals and expedited access to MSKCC. In addition to English, our staff at the Bobst International Center is fluent in Arabic, Berber, Burmese, Cantonese, Portuguese, French, Hindi, Italian, Mandarin, Spanish, Swedish, Tigrinya and Polish. The International Center Care Advisor provides guided access to MSK for international patients and represents the MSK brand by making a positive first impression and shepherding new patients through their scheduling experience at the International Center. The Care Advisor will maximize MSK access by fielding incoming inquiries and requests, and matching patients to the best possible service, physician, and appointment based on their diagnosis, geographic location, and preferences. He/she will anticipate potential issues and remove obstacles for new patients by assisting with obtaining records and reports. You are:An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding.Flexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances.Adept at creating partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives and goals.Capable of building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions.A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.Action-oriented and eager to embrace new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.You will:Act as part of an administrative and clinical team to receive, assess, and bring to appropriate resolution all new visit (external and internal) requests for physician services within the International Center.Screen requests according to Service and Physician criteria to ensure the most accurate scheduling.Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.Ability to distill complex information to a foreign patient of diverse backgrounds.Maximize patient access while providing a public relations role sensitive to patients' needs by using critical thinking and decision-making skills.Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to perform a variety of tasks across the International Center team.
