The Associate Director, Events & Programs, manages a broad range of activities related to the training, learning, and development of staff in Alumni Relations and Development. This position also oversees staff engagement and recognition programs for the division, as well as manages the budget for Staff Development activities.
Lead the strategy and implementation for ARD onboarding programs and serve as facilitator for select programs.
Manage a suite of ARD meetings and programs, including All Staff and ARD LG meetings.
Develop and manage staff engagement, recognition programs, conduct staff surveys and manage the staff performance awards.
Manage logistics for all ARD Talent Management programs and events, within budget.
Provide onsite logistical support for ARD staff learning and development programs and events.
Manage the Staff Development budget and payments, including annual budget and projections process.
Act as Talent Management liaison to ARD Communications and ensure that programs and other initiatives are effectively marketed and communicated through ForwARD and other vehicles.
Create and manage electronic invitations, response forms, and evaluations.
Analyze and synthesize data to prepare custom and ad hoc reports for presentations and meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher required.
A minimum of three years of relevant professional work experience in event, meeting, conference planning or similar professional work experience required.
A minimum of one year of experience leading a project team or managing staff required.
A minimum of one year of experience developing and monitoring budgets preferred.
Technical Knowledge or Skills:
Demonstrated skill and knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, the internal workings of the University as well as the technology tools available to the Office of Alumni Relations and Development, including Griffin (the University's Donor Relationship Management System), Microsoft Windows computer environment, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Willingness and ability to travel to campus and/or non-campus locations for University business.
Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends.
