Total Rewards Analyst - Compensation Focused Job in Atlanta Area, GA | SunTrust
As part of the Total Rewards Center of Expertise, the Total Rewards Analyst provides administration and analysis to support the delivery of company-wide total rewards programs, including Compensation, Recognition, Performance Management, and Well Being. While this role will primarily be aligned to a SunTrust Segment or Corporate Functions, projects may span the entire scope of Total Rewards domains.
Designs, delivers, communicates, monitors and/or administers compensation programs and practices, including job attributes, pay structure, incentive plans, annual rewards and other compensation related programs. Develops and implements strategies for delivery of compensation to ensure competitiveness, appropriate linkages between pay and performance, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Consults with Human Resources Business Partners and the business regarding ongoing compensation management, job evaluation, program/plan design, and other compensation related topics. Ensures the effectiveness of compensation policies, procedures, and controls. Leverages a process improvement mindset to recommend efficient and effective ways to carry out core responsibilities.
Evaluates jobs to determine salary grade, FLSA status and other job attributes. Participates in compensation surveys and leverages results. Analyzes incumbent and market data and presents conclusions. Analyzes and maintains data in support of Compensation administration and projects.
Works closely with Compensation Managers and Consultants to produce Compensation related reports, analyses, and presentations that are both accurate and insightful. May manage Compensation projects or programs.
Experienced professional contributor.
Applies a solid understanding of concepts within own professional discipline. Should demonstrate the application of business and industry knowledge, understanding of key processes and practical experience, when creating work products. Solves routine problems of moderate complexity by analyzing possible solutions using experience, judgment and precedents. Focuses on enhancing knowledge of SunTrust's processes, culture and clients.
Actively participates in projects, including planning and execution activities; may be responsible for a project workstream from start to finish. Provides informal guidance to new teammates. Works under moderate supervision.
Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience.
4 years’ experience in a compensation or benefits role or equivalent experience in human resources, finance, consulting, or financial services.
Experience developing corporate communications.
Experience with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access and comfort with adapting easily to new technology tools.
Ability to collect and interpret information as well as evaluate and use information to enhance services for employees.
Ability to coordinate and manage content across HR functional areas.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
Ability to be flexible and prioritize activities.
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, presentation, and organization skills.
Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelor degree with a concentration in HR or Benefits.
5 years’ experience in financial services.
High level of knowledge in the areas of SunTrust HR operations.
Knowledge of SunTrust HR policies and procedures.
Ability to manage and promote knowledge throughout SunTrust by using systems / networks to share, record, and capitalize on knowledge Experience with HR Portals.
Experience with Workday or similar HRIS, Taleo, and Marketpay
