This energetic, responsive, hands-on-leader will have strong supervisory and communication skills, excellent organizational and critical thinking capabilities and an ability to solve problems effectively and efficiently.Serves as a liaison between all levels of University personnel and members of the Vanderbilt community and coordinates and advises the Vanderbilt Programming Board and oversees marketing efforts for the Arts & Campus Events (ACE) office.This is a full-time exempt position.The Program Coordinator reports to the Director, Arts & Campus Events.

12 months of related experience with higher education experience/arts education
Master's degree in Student Personnel, Student Development, Higher Education.
Advising and budget management experience.
Experience in student programming and working with students, faculty, staff and community members.
Knowledge of student development and leadership theory.
Knowledge of university administration operations and budget management.
Strong interest in mentoring, advising and supervising staff and students.
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Self-starter with an interest in public relations and marketing strategies.
Ability to build relationships with other university departments and divisions.
Involved in community outreach.
Involved in regional and national professional organizations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Advisor for the Vanderbilt Programming Board (VPB).
Responsible for individual high profile and large-scale events.
Development and implementation of programs to include contract negotiation, logistics and collaboration with other departments, promotion, event management, assessment, and budget development.
Prepare monthly and annual program reports.
Advise the VPB executive committee; VenUe and CityVU committees.
Assist with the selection, supervision and development of the VPB leadership team.
Develop and manage all marketing efforts related to VPB & ACE and maintain a consistent online media (website management, social media).
Some night and weekend hours will be required.
Reports to the Director, Arts & Campus Events.
