Spanish Studies Abroad is a pioneer and leader in the international education field, for almost 50 years now. We design cross-cultural curricula and operate highly-regarded study abroad programs in Seville, Alicante, and Barcelona, Spain; Córdoba, Argentina; Havana, Cuba; and San Juan, Puerto Rico. In addition to our semester and short-term programs, we offer internship and service learning opportunities for students with advanced Spanish skills. We design and manage many custom programs for students at any level of Spanish, as well as for those who don’t speak Spanish. The position is located in Amherst, MA, within the Communications department. It reports to the Director of Communications who sets the goals for the department. S/he is responsible for the smooth and efficient functioning of the Institutional Relations coordinators and the Admissions team and ensures optimum coordination between both teams to meet their goals. S/he collaborates closely with the Academic department. S/he is the public relations person in the U.S. office for all clients, students Faculty Leaders and Institutions.
Works with the Admissions staff to resolve student advising matters, registration and pre-departure issues; Processes academic-related documents and issues such as transcripts, visas, student or student family emergencies, related the Institutions and students in collaboration with the Academic Director. Is responsible for marketing memberships and events such as Annual Conferences, Weekly Newsletter; tracking, printing and sending of printed materials (flyers, bulletins, etc. ) to Institutions, Conferences, Fairs and pertinent staff; Contributes to Social Media with other staff members; Is responsible for the 24/7 cell phone; writes and submits seasonal reports; travel to Spanish Studies Sites;

Qualifications and experience
Required: Master’s degree in Education Abroad or areas such as International Education, Higher Education Administration, Spanish, or another relevant field; Advanced knowledge of Spanish language (both written and verbal); 3-4 years of experience in Education Abroad; Leadership experience; Sales or Client Service experience; proficiency in Microsoft Office, Database use; live local to Amherst-area or willing to relocate
Preferred: Experience in travel and Study Abroad; experience within higher education atmosphere.
