Direct Response is looking for an Assistant Director who has experience in direct marketing, direct response and/or development work. Youâ™ll play a key role in ensuring seamless execution of digital, mail and tele-fund campaigns to alumni that meets organizational fundraising and donor engagement goals. Coordinate with team, internal partners and vendors on the successful, accurate and timely execution of digital, mail and tele-fund campaigns. Youâ™ll manage project timelines, schedules and task lists and play an important part in campaign project execution from start to finish.
Collaborate with data team to ensure the quality of appeal data to support campaign and programmatic goals. Work with data-sets to check for quality and prep for vendor use.
Review campaign creative pieces to ensure it matches planned strategies and segmentation. Check the accuracy of information.
Work with internal team and external partners to understand and integrate feedback during the creative development process.
Counsel annual giving officers of various University Constituencies on the most effective use of mass solicitation strategies.
Liaise to Unit partners and maintain a positive working relationship to ensure successful execution of supported campaigns. Work with internal partners to achieve goals and objectives effectively.
Work to ensure all URL and donations forms work and set up to properly report through our back-end systems.
Manage any needed troubleshooting and communication prior to launch.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or higher required
A minimum of two years of professional work experience in nonprofit management, development, alumni relations, marketing, public relations, sales or similar professional work experience required.
Experience in direct marketing such as mail, email, online community development, web content management or social media marketing preferred.
Technical Knowledge or Skills:
Demonstrated skill and knowledge of, or ability to learn quickly, the internal workings of the University as well as the technology tools available to the Office of Alumni Relations and Development, including Griffin (the University's Donor Relationship Management System), Microsoft Windows computer environment, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Willingness and ability to travel to campus and/or non-campus locations for University business.
Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends.
