The Director of Communication and Endowed Programs will manage, track, and document the programs of the Andreas Endowment; coordinate Arts & Humanities scholarship programs; plan events; and communicate to internal and external stakeholders news and information of college and departmental activities through social and other media. The position will be responsible for all core College publications, web pages, and social media and be the College's content and brand manager. The position will report to the dean of the College of Arts & Humanities and work closely with department chairs and with University offices to manage the Andreas Endowment and scholarship programs and to advance the communication and events activities of the College.
Bachelor's degree in Communication, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or related fields. (Conferred on an official transcript at the time of application.)
One year of related experience in public relations or journalism.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population of faculty, staff and students.
Excellent organizational skills.
Demonstrated experience in public relations and/or journalistic storytelling.
Excellent written and oral communication skill.
Demonstrated effectiveness in media production (journalistic and public relations writing, photography, video production, social media management, web content management).
Experience with event planning.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.

May be required to attend weekend and evening events and activities, such as on-campus speakers sponsored by the college or its departments, scholarship or awards ceremonies, the Andreas Endowment Showcase event, or other events related to departmental or college activities. The salary range denoted above is the contractual range; however, salary upon hire is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
