The College of Business (COB) Director of Communications and Events will develop, implement, and coordinate the College's marketing, communications, and promotional strategies to advance and enhance relationships with both internal and external stakeholders in line with the COB strategic plan. The position will also organize and execute COB events to further promote the internal and external connections among faculty, staff, students, employers, and local community members. The person will further work on developing and maintaining the College's digital presence. The person will also work with individual departments, programs, and student organizations within the College to assist them in developing and administering marketing and communications plans. This position will support a college with over 2000 students and over 45 full-time faculty in four academic departments and two graduate programs. The position will report directly to the Dean of COB, and be a member of the Leadership Team.

One year professional marketing, communications, and/or event planning experience.
Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, English, or related fields
Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent written communication skills.
Demonstrated effectiveness in publication development: producing attractive and effective print publications through the use of multimedia applications, utilities, and other publishing related tools.
Demonstrated effectiveness in project management: developing and meeting project milestones, timelines, and goals.
Demonstrated effectiveness in marketing campaign development: developing, implementing and evaluating strategies goal-directed marketing campaigns utilizing market research in the development of marketing plans.
Demonstrated effectiveness in professional web page design and development to meet communication goals through the use of web publishing programs and social media platforms.
Experience with event planning.
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.

The salary range denoted above is the contractual range; however, salary upon hire is dependent upon qualifications and experience.
