The Web And Information Designer, under direction, designs and produces a variety of graphical imagery, animations and other multimedia-rich applications. Manages architectures of websites, including content management system (CMS) and advising of staff.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3 years of related experience .
Required Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and graphic design applications.
Knowledge of HTML and the web design production process.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Designs, creates, formats and produces high-quality, original web-based designs.
Designs and produces a variety of graphical imagery, video, and other multimedia-rich content.
Collaborates with on-campus clients and web developers to develop user interface requirements, and defines, prototypes, and documents highly usable interfaces to meet those requirements.
Maintains and improves existing web systems and hardware.
Creates automated tasks and systems for data transfer in web-based applications, web-site expansion or other uses.
Establishes procedures for authoring web content. Advises faculty, staff, and students on matters related to web content. Trains new web content authors on web publishing policies and the use of the CMS.
Implements a web content strategy to meet business goals by maximizing the impact of web content.
