The Ohio University Center for Entrepreneurship, a partnership between the College of Business and the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs invites applications for a Program Manager for the Center for Entrepreneurship and the new facility in Alden Library dedicated to innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurship. The position is expected to begin August 1, 2018 and is located on campus in beautiful Athens, Ohio.
The Program Manager will have primary administrative and management responsibilities for the new collaboration and innovation space (Space) opening in Alden Library, currently scheduled to open in August 2018. The Manager will manage the day-to-day operations with respect to the physical Space and creative and entrepreneurial activity that takes place in the Space. The Manager will ensure optimal use of the Space, management of the day-to-day operations of the Space, and collect and produce data that will allow for proper management and reporting of the Space. The Program Manager will also assist in management of the Center for Entrepreneurship (which will be located in the Space) and assist in the fostering of communication between the Center, other University facilities, and resources devoted to collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
1. Management and operation of the new Space in Alden Library (3rd Floor) and ensuring its optimal and maximum use by students, departments , organizations, and Colleges throughout the University. Part of this responsibility will be working directly with students using the space and assisting the Center Director and Associate Director in mentoring and assisting students.
2.Assist in management of the Center for Entrepreneurship, particularly with respect to its offices and programming which take place in the Space.
3.Collection, organization, analysis, and reporting of data and metrics about the Space, its use, its visitors, and programs taking place within the Space. This will allow for better management of the Space and transparency about its use. The Program Manager's responsibility for collecting data or other relevant metrics will include data pertaining to the Center for Entrepreneurship’s programming and University enrollment in entrepreneurship academic programs (i.e., Major, Certificate).
4.The Program Manager will foster and maintain relationships and communication between the Space, the Center, and other University facilities and resources devoted to collaboration, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with the goal of providing maximum support to students utilizing the Space or working with the Center to further their personal ambitions, ideas, and new ventures.
