The Assistant Director of Post-50th Alumni Engagement will join a successful and dynamic partnership between departments within External Relations at Carleton College. With guidance from the Director of 25th and Post-50th Programs, s/he will develop a comprehensive engagement and giving program that balances the evolving need of Carleton College and its oldest and most engaged alumni population.
In consultation with key stakeholders from External Relations and volunteer board leaders, this position will create a program that successfully transitions classes from a milestone 50th reunion to a new model of giving and engagement that stewards life-long relationships and achieves the Alumni Annual Fund’s dollar and donor participation goals.
This is a half-time (20 hours per week 0.50 FTE), exempt, benefit-eligible, and temporary position through December 31, 2021. Some travel, as well as some evening and weekend work is required.

The successful candidate possess a bachelor’s degree and has two to five years in volunteer management, educational fundraising or related experience. Ability to think creatively, critically, and strategically about all aspects of alumni engagement and development at Carleton. Strong and persuasive oral and written communication skills, with the judgement and discretion to handle confidential or sensitive matters.
