The Graphic Designer II is responsible for the design and production for various Texas A&M Football recruiting marketing collateral, such as , print media, social media graphics, wall graphics, and office letters. The position will also be responsible for creation of recruiting graphics for various purposes in which the Football Department advertises.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years of related experience in graphics design, web development, print and electronic media, marketing or related design field.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have thorough knowledge of latest design/layout software (example: Adobe CS - Photoshop, Illustrator, lnDesign).
Must have portfolio of post-production materials to show in an interview.
Work environment demands the ability to do both high concept ideation and comparatively less exciting development of production graphics.
Some nights, weekends, and holidays may be required to complete assigned duties
Preferred Education and Experience:
Three years professional print design experience preferred.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Preferred candidate will have expertise in design made for heavy social media consumption, as well as print, web, and apps.
Requires ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Create season design for Football recruiting-specific marketing collateral. Create print and social media graphics for various means in which the Football Department uses. Create media graphics for various screens used throughout the Bright Football Complex. Create various note cards/stationery for Football Department which includes coaches and support staff. Create art for signage to be displayed at various Football venues and functions. Create graphic elements for AggieFBLife Website and Apps.
Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations for all staff members and student workers supervised.
Meet with football coaches and administrators to develop consistent visual image for the program and overall department.
Research and stay abreast of graphics trends, specifically within collegiate, professional, and high school athletics.
Perform press checks and approve proofs from printing companies on various printed materials.
