The Role / Responsibilities: RTS owns and manages the MIS Remediation Program, operational control framework and global tactical operations teams as well as supports the end-to-end transactional rating process through workflow coordination and rating desk services. RTS is looking for a Senior Ops Analyst to join the disclosures team.
The Senior Ops Analyst represents a key role in the delivery of key initiatives and business processes that are critical to the execution of MIS strategies and establishing standard operational objectives. The individual will work closely with variety of key stakeholders within RTS and across the MIS organization.
Back-Up for Vice President based in London on all global disclosure issues/topics.
Subject Matter Expert regarding global disclosures for MIS Business Transformation and RTS
Perform root-cause analysis and remediation on global Disclosure topics
Administer Global Press Release Templates, Reference for Disclosure Language, Global Disclosure Mapping file and any other disclosure documents
Active member of the Global Disclosure Governance Committee (owner of forward-agenda, issue tracking/reporting, leading topics where necessary and providing meeting minutes etc.)
Manage / participate in cross-functional projects that support the end-to-end MIS ratings process, business transformation directives or evolving regulatory requirements
Proactively identify opportunities to standardize business processes and enhance operational controls and efficiencies
Perform root cause or deep dive analyses, remediation efforts and/or process improvements
Demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise on Rating Processes as well as Policies, Procedures and Guidelines
Coordinate with the analytical community and other Moody's teams (e.g. ODC - in particular Global Middle Office, Compliance, Government and Public Affairs, Legal, MIT, etc.) to effectively resolve high priority and Business As Usual requests/inquiries
Provide senior management reporting when requested and validate that reports are complete, accurate and produced on time
Project manage projects for new initiatives and remediation efforts and drive the efforts of the project team, including the successful transition to Business As Usual, where applicable
Support RTS senior managers by maintaining status reports; tracking issues, risks, and dependencies; generating performance metrics and owning the content of Standard Operating Procedures, etc.
Provide business process training and create/update supporting content and training materials (e.g. communications, Guidelines, FAQ's, presentations, etc.)
Undergraduate BA/BS degree in business, finance/economics, management or similar field; MBA a plus
5-10 years of operational control, business process and/or business analysis experience with strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to interact comfortably with different levels of management and articulate/present issues clearly and succinctly
Self-starter and team player with ability to meet tight deadlines and balance multiple, competing priorities
Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to reach across organization to successfully resolve requests/inquiries
Highly organized and efficient, with an attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Experience managing projects required
Ability to supervise, facilitate, negotiate, and resolve interpersonal or inter-team conflicts
Excellent PowerPoint skills and strong knowledge of MS Excel and Word
Knowledge of Moody's rating systems, analysis tools and operational processes a plus
