Job Summary: Will manage, oversee, and coordinate all phases of the BW Starbucks Franchise Store which will be open 7 days per week. Will reports to the Director of Dining Services. S/he will be responsible for supervising and directing the work force, making staffing decision (i.e. hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, and staff scheduling). A primary goal is ensuring customer satisfaction and product quality, while managing the store’s financial performance.
The successful candidate must be committed, philosophically and operationally, to the delivery of high quality services in an efficient manner while being sensitive to the service needs of the entire university. Must be an entrepreneurial manager and change agent who is dedicated to supporting the ongoing development of cutting edge, clientele focused culinary services. Must be creative and innovative, constantly raising the existing standards and practices of the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties describe the essential functions of the position and are not to be considered a detailed list of all duties inherent to the position.
Directly responsible for utilizing Scheduler, Excel and Etime to help manage and minimize labor costs.
Works cooperatively with the other Dining Services Departments to plan and execute major campus food service events and staffing to ensure excellent customer service and to meet budgetary goals.

Hands-on management and supervision of all facets of the FOH dining operations with the goals of maximizing customer satisfaction and minimizing costs.
Recruitment, interviewing, hiring, supervising, disciplining, counseling and evaluating all staff
Ensure compliance with all budgetary, sanitation, safety and HACCP requirements
Manages with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promotes BW mission, culture and values.
Prepare and maintain all required statistical and narrative reports
Promote and support nutrition education, recycling and sustainability
Plans, identifies, communicates, and delegates appropriate responsibilities and practices to ensure smooth flow of operations.
Solicits customer feedback to better understand their needs
Conducts monthly inventory
Maintain facility by establishing cleaning schedules, maintenance of facility and follow up on repairs and replacement of equipment.
Display, Marketing and merchandising of all Starbucks generated materials
Assist the Director with strategic planning to ensure excellent customer service and to meet budgetary goals
Overseeing multiple facets of the Micros EMC and RMC, which includes generating reports, monitoring usage of product and maintaining multiple files
Bachelor’s degree with three – five years’ experience in managing a high volume multi- branded food court, three years of which should be in a supervisory capacity or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the food service field
Working knowledge of computer operating systems including windows databases and spreadsheet application Excel, PowerPoint, Word
Must be Serv Safe Certified
Knowledge of Cbord, Etime, Datatel, Publisher, Micros, and Scheduler helpful
Ability to manage, train and direct others and delegate tasks
Demonstrated experience at building community relationships to promote positive public relations
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Strong Problem solving skills
Can work independently or with other staff members to reach organizational goals, tact and diplomacy in working with students and outside personnel
Have the ability to think quickly and accurately, be able to evaluate problems and make appropriate recommendations to person(s) involved
Possess strong strategic thinking skills, with an emphasis on delivering and measuring action plans
Conditions of Employment:
Must possess and maintain a valid Ohio Driver’s License and a good driving record. Must successfully complete a 90 calendar day probationary period. Must be able to work early mornings, evenings and weekends. Must pass a criminal background check. Ability to diagnose problems and program equipment.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Some physical effort is required. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Limited exposure to physical risk.
