Plan and implement special events that meet strategic goals of the School of Law; conceptualize themes, present ideas, research requests, assess feasibility, and make recommendations to ensure the implementation of successful, targeted events. Consult with Assistant Director on management of large-scale events; research vendors, options, pricing structures, etc. Project expenses; determine staffing, space, and equipment needs; conduct post-event evaluations for Assistant Director, recommending future improvements.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree and
Required Experience: 3 years' experience planning and implementing special events or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience: Related experience at a higher education institution.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Strong customer service skills. Highly creative with the ability to develop new ideas for clients. Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of standard office software.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Experience managing budgets.
