The Associate Client Advisor position at The Lubitz Financial Group is primarily responsible for providing support and delivering the full range of the firm’s financial planning and investment management services to clients. These may include portfolio investment reviews (working with our investment team and our tools such as Morningstar, Tamarac, etc) and preparing financial projections using various financial planning software programs (such as eMoney Advisor). Other responsibilities include researching financial planning related projects and supporting client services related tasks. You must have the ability to utilize critical thinking skills, work within a team, and anticipate firm needs and client questions and maintain frequent client contact and multi-tasking.
A qualified candidate will be detail oriented, structured, have a high degree of follow through, and be personable and able to build trust with clients. This role supports primarily Senior Client Advisors helping with client services, compliance, business development, and other internal operations as requested. Client Relationship Management & Service
Provide ongoing client consultation and support. Support Senior Client Advisors with ongoing relationships for existing clients. It is expected that primary responsability of some clients will develop over time under the supervision of a Senior Client Advisor.
Maintain regular and consistent communication with clients in order to be aware of each client’s needs and concerns and to respond promptly and appropriately.
Address all client issues and ensure that clients receive prompt service inclusive of researching client circumstances and providing accurate and timely recommendations.
Identify additional services to be provided and/or assets to be managed and work to provide those services and/or secure those assets.
Interact with client’s other professional advisors regarding financial planning issues.
Facilitate the onboarding of prospects to become clients by preparing PR packages, translating data gathering documents into our systems and coordinating account forms with client service
Client Meetings and Client Contact
Complete all activities necessary for meeting with prospects and existing clients, and assemble agendas and financial planning documents utilizing LFG processes and procedures.
Attend meetings with new and existing clients, as well as prospects.
Participate in and record meeting discussions and summarize as well as follow up with any assigned action items.
Consistently and properly document communications with clients in our client database system (CRM) in order to maintain awareness and respond appropriately to each client’s needs and concerns.
Planning and Analysis
At the direction of the Senior Client Advisors, work on planning and investment analysis, strategy and delivery of services for assigned clients within LFG processes and procedures.
Communicate client/prospect information, prioritization and deadlines to appropriate staff to facilitate document preparation or investment implementation.
Review portfolio investment recommendations for assigned clients
Conduct Client Investment Performance Analysis for assigned clients, including the review of the client quarterly reports.
Facilitate and complete comprehensive financial plans with the guidance of Senior Client Advisors for existing and new clients.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on existing financial planning software services as well as researching new tools
Perform research and special projects as requested.
Participate in internal investment committee meetings and advisor planning meetings.
Contribute in the ongoing improvement of the firm’s policies and procedures into systematic action items in CRM system, as well as other technology platforms.
Assist with production of company newsletter, MarketWatch, and other marketing and public relations materials to strengthen firm’s image. Contribute to the firm marketing materials to effectively communicate our financial planning process.
Support president in speech and marketing material preparation.
Complete compliance review action items as directed; work with president and operations manager to perform periodic account reviews for compliance requirements as needed.
Training, Business Development and Administration
Schedule weekly update meetings with supervisor and president
Engage in quarterly development meetings with supervisor
Research, schedule and attend designated industry meetings and trainings, as requested.
Utilize the Educational Budget to attend and participate in FPA, IMCA, or other industry related groups and/or events to gain updated industry and technical knowledge
Be a regular contributor to the firm’s Social Media marketing efforts
Contribute to the firm’s business development efforts.
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in financial planning, business, economics or accounting.
Minimum of three years of financial services related experience.
CFP Certification or similar is strongly preferred. Alternatively, CFP Candidate or must possess a minimum of three years of experience directly involved in the process of financial planning and client relationship management.
Advanced level computer skills, including thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, familiarity with contact management software (Junxure preferred) and financial planning software such as eMoney or MoneyGuide Pro (preferred).
Ability to build and strengthen client relationships.
Ability to think on feet, responding well to questions and addressing complex problems and questions.
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Self-motivated with ability to work independently and under direction.
