The Center for Transportation Equity, Decisions and Dollars (CTEDD) invites applications for a post-doctoral fellow position in the area of transportation planning, infrastructure and policies. This position is part of a multi-year, nationwide federal transportation grant (CTEDD) in the area of equity and sustainability. The candidate may also have the opportunity to teach at the graduate level in the areas that are aligned with the educational mission and activities of the center.
Successful candidate will also be part of the CTEDD leadership team and will be required to take the lead on developing research, educational and technology transfer initiatives in partnership with other CTEDD affiliated faculty from UTA and other consortium members.
Prospective candidates should have a demonstrated capacity to conduct leading-edge transportation research. Applicants must have an earned doctorate in Transportation Planning or Engineering or closely related fields with a proven record of publications, grant writing, and contribution to national and international scientific meetings and demonstrate the ability to communicate the findings to both policy and research audiences. Strong experience in transportation modeling and analysis, smart cities and working with big data is desired.
Experience in an academic, research or related environment. Experience with UTA policies and systems. Experience managing complex awards and working with a variety of sponsors.
