Under the supervision of the Vice President and Dean of Student Enrollment Services, the Director of Education Marketing (DEM) provides leadership, marketing direction and strategic oversight of the planning, development and implementation of (higher education) marketing functions for admissions, career services and alumni for Moody Bible Institute (MBI), Moody Bible Institute Distance Learning (MBIDL) and Moody Theological Seminary (MTS). The DEM will be responsible for developing comprehensive marketing plan that competitively positions Moody, creates awareness, increases enrollment, and closer connectivity among admissions, career services, and alumni audiences. In addition, the DEM will collaborate with the Moody Global Ministries’ Marketing and Strategic Communications team on strategic initiatives such as on-going marketing research, web property development/maintenance and website optimization projects for greater market relevance and penetration. DEM will be responsible for determining key metrics in collaboration with the VP and Dean of Student Enrollment Services for reporting the success of plan across admissions, career services and alumni for the purpose of understanding the growth and necessary changes in marketing of inquiries and alumni.
Develop and Implement annual marketing plans, in coordination with the MBI Marketing Counsel for:
Improving and growing enrollments
Reengagement of alumni so that they’ll contribute to improve and grow enrollments for all Moody campuses in accordance with strategic goals for Student Enrollment Services.
Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of marketing activities, reporting to the MBI Marketing counsel on a monthly basis.
Initiate perception and program demand studies and forecasting emerging trends in Education and technology that can be utilized to engage with new audiences and markets in coordination with the Education Marketing Council which will address the needs of each of the three schools.
Engage and coordinate with Alumni Association and Career services as well as external partners (churches, potential employers) by initiating marketing strategies while in collaboration with VP and Dean of Student Enrollment Services, Associate Dean of Career Services, and the Alumni Association to enhance services to constituency.
Partner with Education Web Administrator from Digital Marketing Team to manage and maintain moody.edu website including
ongoing development and continuous improvement to user-experience
web analytics to measure effectiveness of web properties
search engine optimization for all Moody Schools, student services and alumni.
Broaden marketing funnel and enhance recruiting funnel and developing new alumni funnel.
Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of Oracle CX Customer Relationship Management system, Eloqua the automated marketing cloud and Social Relationship Management (SRM) the social media cloud. (social media)
Responsible for providing strategic marketing input to marketing partners for all print, digital, social media and video projects in the course of executing the annual marketing plan and strategies.

Bachelor's in Communications, Marketing, Business or related field required
5-7 years of experience in higher education marketing and communications or related field
Strong administrative and managerial skills
Growing understanding of higher education through utilization of internal experts and external sources of professional development
Strong skills in crafting, developing, and implementing successful marketing/promotion plans with measurable results, particularly in higher education.
Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with internal MBI departments and external partnerships
Demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of various mediums of marketing (including digital, online, and social media)
Strong use of technology (See Technology in preferred requirements)
Knowledge of Oracle CX Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system or similar
Knowledge of Eloqua Automated Marketing Cloud or similar
Social Relationship Management (SRM) cloud or similar
Master’s Degree in marketing, communications, business field or related field.
Experience with marketing analysis
The Moody Bible Institute is a Bible college located in downtown Chicago with an undergraduate enrollment of 1675. The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association accredits Moody, as does the Association for Biblical Higher Education. The Department of Communications offers a unique integrated media arts program; with 9 full-time faculty members and approximately 200 students majoring in the department.
Additional Salary Information: This is a full-time position with a competitive benefits package. Salary is commensurate with experience.
