The Events Coordinator works closely with the Becker Friedman Institute events team on new and existing programs.
Under the direction of the Sr. Events Manger, assist with the coordination of events, including reserving space, coordinating with caterers, communicating with speakers, tracking attendees and providing updates of attendance to team, and preparing printed materials.
Onsite event support including set up and break down.
Coordinate logistics for weekly institute workshops.
Support event speakers while on campus for events including greeting speaker, coordinating office hours and activities, responding to onsite needs, collecting feedback and submitting reimbursements.
Work with the Communications Coordinator to regularly review accuracy of, and submit updates for, event-related content on Becker Friedman Institute website.
Contribute to ongoing marketing efforts of BFI programs and events, including increasing outreach to other divisions across campus to engage their students, faculty, staff, and alumni in institute programs.
Attention to detail required. Ability to maintain confidentiality required.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines required.
Budget management skills required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
Organizational skills required.
Bachelor's degree required.
A minimum of one year of relevant experience, such as event or conference planning, required.
