The Marketing Coordinator will work under general supervision to plan and coordinate marketing projects for the Iowa Bankers Association and its affiliates, by performing the following duties.
Marketing project management - Plans and coordinates programs to support member bank marketing efforts, including, but not limited to, Scenes of Iowa Calendar and Bank Perks programs. Plans and coordinates bank marketing peer group meetings and online discussion groups.
Public Relations Program Management: Plans and coordinates community relations events, including, but not limited to, scholarship programs, financial literacy programs, silent auction, and IPTV festival. Coordinates the ordering of promotional items (shirts, etc.) for member and community events.
Marketing and Communications Support: Writes and distributes media releases and other communications to promote and coordinate programs and events. Writes and designs marketing materials, including print materials, websites, blogs and social media content, to promote marketing and public relations programs, including, but not limited to, as Money Smart Week and other financial literacy programs.
Records Management: Maintains and updates membership database records. Uses database to create mailing lists for marketing and public relations campaigns. Maintains records on marketing and public relations program participation. * Manages and coordinates production of bank directory project and assists with associate member directory listings.
Required Education: HS Diploma (GED); College degree in marketing or communications preferred
Required Work Experience: Experience in Public Relations, Marketing or Communications.
Technology Skills:Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required; Also prefer experience with Adobe InDesign and survey programs.
Required Skills or Traits: Project management skills. Verbal and written communications skills and organizational skills. Ability to work with a variety of individuals and at various levels within an organization.
