Position Summary: At CEB our Sales and Customer Experience teams help lawyers in all areas to get the resources they need to practice law. As a self-sustaining program of the University of California our public service mission is central to all that we do whether that be through developing new ways of learning and digital solutions, helping young lawyers get established in practice with free materials or supporting pro bono activities.
This is a critical role that will define and execute sales, marketing, outreach and sponsorship strategies in the context of the California legal services market. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer retention and managing all aspects of the customer and user experience.
You will collaborate with Product and Platform colleagues to translate customer understanding into differentiated value propositions and engagement strategies.

Duty 1: Develop a deep understanding of competitive and legal services landscape in order to implement go-to-market strategies; including defining and describing customer segments, sponsorship opportunities, product positioning, market opportunities and threats.
Lead the strategy for product launches, including partnering with internal teams, collaboratively developing the core value proposition and commercial approach.
Evangelize CEB's public service mission and role it plays supporting legal practice and grow the reach of pro bono and public service sponsorships. Function:Go To Market Percent: 40
Duty 2: Lead strategic account planning.
Develop and implement marketing plans that can be quickly tested to improve sales and/or retention.
Develop and implement customer retention framework to include up-selling and leveraging business from new and established customer relationships.
Analyze, develop and manage sales/marketing operating budgets.
Drive sales through e-commerce, account management, field sales, and customer experience teams. Function:Sales and Customer Growth Percent: 40
Duty 3: Responsible for the overall people management of Segment Strategy, Account Management, Sales, Customer Experience, Strategic Partnerships & Outreach, and Marketing. Function:People Management Percent: 20
Job Requirements Proven ability to drive competitive positioning and messaging as well as experience in B2B and/or digital product marketing.
Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve go-to-market strategy based on research, data and industry trends.
Ability to maintain a high level of productivity and manage multiple competing priorities, and work effectively in a complex, collaborative, and team-oriented environment.
Experience/Desire to work on organizational transformation whilst maintaining legacy business lines and openness to managing the complexities and constraints.
Proven creative thinker that can generate and execute on innovative ideas.
