Employment Status: Full-time, "Exempt", Probationary position with the possibility of converting to permanent.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., evenings and weekends as required.

Under the general supervision of the Director of Alumni Relations, the Alumni Engagement Analyst will direct, implement and evaluate a comprehensive program that builds affinity to the university among alumni and enhance their future as engaged volunteers, advocates and donors. The Analyst will ensure all programs and events include messaging and elements that increase alumni's awareness of, membership in and participation with the California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) Office of Alumni Relations.
The Analyst will conceptualize and implement a comprehensive program to provide meaningful engagement opportunities for CSUSB alumni, resulting in increased participation and support of the university. The Analyst will develop and administer goal-based activities, events and programs that build affinity among current alumni and that keep alumni connected to one another and to the university. The Analyst will research best practices that are proven to be effective in engaging non-traditional and diverse alumni populations. The Analyst will plan, coordinate, promote and execute activities and events that strengthen the brand of the university and alumni. The Analyst will evaluate and interpret findings from the CSUSB Alumni Attitude Survey to help guide relevant events for CSUSB's diverse alumni population. The Analyst will provide support to the Director of Alumni Relations for CSU system wide events and CSUSB national events, including CSU Hill Day, the New York City/Tri State Area CSU Alumni Reception, and CSU advocacy events in Sacramento. The Analsyt will serve as program lead for alumni signature events, including Homecoming, Professor for a Day and Golden Grads. The Analyst will work closely with university communication professionals to manage the production, scheduling and delivery of a comprehensive communications strategy, including website, e-newsletters, calendars, social media and printed materials for the Alumni office. The Analyst will be responsible for tracking on the alumni/development database alumni participation in all events, programs and activities.
The incumbent will develop, implement and maintain a volunteer management program which will result in increased student and alumni engagement in support of the university. Volunteer management will include identifying, enlisting, training, placing and recognizing student and alumni volunteers. The analyst will develop close working relationships with key volunteer leaders to encourage their ongoing volunteerism. The incumbent will track student and alumni volunteerism and will recommend alumni volunteers for speaking and awards opportunities, as well as for service on campus boards.
The Analyst will serve as the liaison between the Alumni office and alumni chapters and affinity groups, providing guidance on CSUSBAA and CSUSB policies and procedures to ensure chapter activities are in compliance and aligned with the mission of the CSUSBAA and university. When possible, the Analyst will represent the CSUSBAA at chapter and affinity group events and functions. The Analyst also will serve as the point of contact for chapters and affinity groups to communicate with their membership. The Analyst will assist in identifying key faculty, staff, and alumni to feature at regional events, such as events sponsored by the Chancellor's Office. The Alumni Engagement Analyst will direct the alumni benefits packages and programming on an annual basis, make recommendations for additional benefits which meet the needs of CSUSB's growing alumni population. The analyst will conceptualize and implement attractive alumni programs for the purposes of recruiting new members and retaining current members. The Analyst, in collaboration with the Office of Strategic Communications, will manage the production, scheduling and delivery of a comprehensive alumni communications strategy, including website, e-newsletters, e-blast messages, calendars and printed materials. The Analyst, as the manager all CSUSB Alumni social media accounts, will create and post intentional messaging that will create dialogue among alumni and increase awareness of alumni and university activities.
Must possess the equivalent to a bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, communications, public relations or a related field
Three years of successful professional experience working in student services and/or alumni relations.
Applicants must possess the ability to develop, organize and carry out a variety of professionally complex assignments without detailed instruction.

Applicants must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Applicants must have demonstrated experience recruiting, motivating, training and managing volunteers that resulted in successful outcomes for both volunteers and the organization.
Applicants must demonstrate high energy to enhance and expand activities and programming.
A working knowledge of Ellucian and PeopleSoft systems is preferred.
Applicants must have the ability to travel, as well as work evenings and weekends.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.
