Business Development and Strategy Manager – Florida Hospital Transplant Institute – Orlando
Florida Hospital Orlando seeks to hire Business Development and Strategy Manager who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

The Business Development and Strategy Manager works directly with the administrator and administrative team to conceive and implement business development initiatives that elevate the Florida Hospital Transplant Institute brand and align with the Florida Division's strategic plan and priorities. The Manager serves in a hybrid role balancing operational, business development and marketing strategies. The Manager leads engagements with physicians, strategic partners and key stakeholders. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Knowledge in the business of healthcare
Health care and transplant markets (Preferred)
Knowledge of physician practice operations (Preferred)
Consumer marketing skills (ability to strengthen brand, increase market share and market penetration) (Preferred)
Physician marketing skills (ability to develop and strengthen relationships with physicians in the market) (Preferred)
Bachelor's degree in health care administration, business, marketing/public relations or related field
5+ years previous health care experience in a professional role
5+ years in a marketing/public relations or business development role
Staff supervisory experience
Master's degree in health care administration, business, marketing/public relations or related field (Preferred)
Previous experience in organ procurement and/or transplantation professional role (Preferred)
10 years previous health care experience in a professional role (Preferred)
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:

Proactively scans the market, understands market dynamics and trends, drives operational change to connect the referring market with FHTI and reports to senior leadership.
Identifies, researches and analyzes short-term and long-term business development strategies to develop and strengthen the FHTI brand and align to the Florida Division strategies. Seeks and develops new revenue and partnership strategies and strengthens existing relationships.
Provides oversight of FHTI research department in conjunction with clinical leadership, identifies opportunities for elevating the brand through research, publications and strategic partnerships both within the Florida Division and with industry partners.
Provides operational oversight of physician access points, patient throughput and referral intake workflow. Identifies opportunities for improving operational processes and staffing models that enable streamlined workflow and access.
Creates customer service accountabilities and increases effective communication. Manages tools and partnerships with vendors including web, phone and dictation services.
Leverages the FHTI physicians and expertise to raise the strength of the larger Florida Hospital brand. Seeks and develops physician outreach and educational opportunities to position FHTI as a destination program and subject matter experts.
Maintains the balance of needs and priorities between the business (FHTI and FH administration) and the customer (patients and referring physicians) to create value and mutually beneficial relationships.
Works closely with leadership to ensure FHTI strategic plans are created to advance the vision and mission of Florida Hospital, including the triple aim of improving quality and patient experience, improving population health and reducing health care costs. Manages community outreach, sponsorship opportunities and serves as a resource for patient and community education and population health management. Interviews patients for media and marketing purposes.
Leads the development of business plans and provides oversight to the proforma process. Ensures all parties are informed, approvals received and implementation is successful.
Works directly with FHTI Foundation representative on fundraising events and projects, including the creation and oversight of the future transplant house.
Ensures consumer, physician, media, community and internal relations activities/focus are aligned with the Institute's strategic plan and results in meeting/exceeding market scorecard goals.
Provides leadership to the FHTI marketing team, including a dotted oversight role to the FHTI physician liaison rep. Reports to Institute/campus leadership on a regular basis.
Organizes monthly FHTI staff meetings and collaborates with FHTI leadership on improving employee engagement and internal communication.
Understands the state of health care and potential future direction, including the need for continuum care/population health management. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in the health care industry in general and destination services specifically.
