Execute on design projects through strategy to implementation. Build high-quality, creative concepts based on project objectives, as well as systems of collateral that work together and ensure that every design decision is intentional and meaningful. Produce beautiful and inspired collateral that builds a brand experience, inspires the reader to take action, and utilizes best practices in design.
Time: Full time
Responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design solutions that meet marketing objectives.
Execute on brand platform, developing creative systems for university sub-brands.
Produce collateral to support the marketing priorities of the university, such as the alumni magazine, annual report, undergraduate recruitment materials, digital content marketing pieces, brochures, direct mail, comprehensive fundraising campaigns, etc.
Support digital marketing design integration.
Follow each job through its lifecycle to ensure an accurate and polished final product.
Interact with clients to gain a strong understanding of marketing goals and objectives. Give presentations that demonstrate how design solution is meeting objectives.
Interface with printers throughout entire production process.
Other duties as assigned.
2+ years of design experience and master in Adobe Creative Suite. Art and design training required. Knowledge of HTML and CSS a plus.
Passion for design and continuous professional improvement. Demonstrated commitment to staying current on industry standards and best practices.
A well-rounded portfolio of client work, demonstrating a strong understanding of client objectives and strategies
Strong understanding of design systems and ability to build a brand experience through design.
Must be detail-oriented, able to communicate effectively, and possess strong initiative. Ability to handle multiple priorities/projects simultaneously and work independently.
Excellent creative, conceptual, and critical thinking abilities. Demonstrate a high standard of quality in all materials produced.
Strong ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively with clients
Understanding of and commitment to the spiritual mission of the university.
Strong understanding of Christian higher education and the audiences PLNU serves.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The work is primarily sedentary and may require sitting for extended periods of time. Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Vision to read documents, email and other correspondence, and reports on paper and computer monitor. Hearing and speaking to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone. Will also stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 10 lbs throughout the day.
