The Assistant Director of MBA Admissions collaborates with the team to attract, recruit, select and enroll an exceptional class of Stanford MBA students. Key duties include representing Stanford GSB at on- and off-campus recruiting events including possible domestic and international travel, evaluating MBA applications, interviewing MBA candidates, and helping admitted students understand the Stanford MBA experience and make informed enrollment decisions.
Specifically, this role will work closely with the Associate Director of Enrollment on the strategy and implementation of a variety of post-admission activities and initiatives including Admit Weekend; admitted student receptions around the world; connecting admits with students, alumni, faculty and staff to make the most informed enrollment decisions; coordinating a large deferred admit program; and working with financial aid.
A successful candidate will have demonstrated results orientation, team leadership, strategic orientation, and influence and collaboration skills. Other desirable qualities include excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to take initiative and achieve results working both independently and with team members; strong project management skills with excellent attention to detail; comfort with data analytics; exceptional self-discipline; flexibility, cooperativeness and strong work ethic. Independently administer, implement and/or interpret university and department admission policies and procedures.
Read, evaluate and make higher-level recommendations on MBA applications and interview applicants.
Develop and deliver outreach programs in local, national and international communities, conduct informational meetings and respond to questions regarding admissions and the student experience at Stanford.
Develop programs and efforts to cultivate and maintain relationships with university personnel, professional organizations, students, and alumni.
Analyze needs, develop and manage admission programs and processes, especially related admitted and deferred students.
May conduct quantitative analyses of admission, enrollment, or financial aid data.
Serve as a public relations and information resource to prospective applicants, secondary or university personnel, professional organizations, students, and alumni, represent University at activities and events, meetings, committees and conferences.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and 3 years relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience. Master's degree and 5 years of relevant experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Candidate will interact with senior executives and prospective MBA students worldwide.
Excellent reading comprehension skills.
Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and make distinctions among competitive applicants.
Demonstrated presentation skills.
Knowledge of behavioral-based interviewing preferred.
Evidence of program planning and management skills.
Certifications and Licenses:
Frequently perform desk based computer tasks, seated work and use light/ fine grasping.
Occasionally lift, carry, push pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
Rarely stand, walk, use a telephone and write by hand.
