Reporting to the Program Manager, the Program Coordinator provides advanced support and analysis for the Associate Vice President for Development and the team of Principal Gifts officers in all aspects of their work. Principal Gifts is responsible for substantial and transformative donations made to the University. As a key part of this important work, the PC position provides a fascinating window into the inner workings of major initiatives and upper-levels of administration at Yale. The PC will draft correspondence, briefings, and proposals; conduct research projects; maintain detailed prospect database records; and plan special events for a fundraising program serving Yale's most generous alumni and friends. Previous development experience, though helpful, is not essential. Ideal candidates will have superior writing skills, show great attention to detail and excellent judgment, and will be curious and engaged with the donor cases that s/he will support.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills: Bachelor's degree and two years of administrative or professional writing experience. Experience in a university setting working with sensitive and confidential information; familiarity with Yale University.
Required Licenses Or Certifications:
Eight years of related experience, six of them in the same job family at the next lower level and a high school level education; or six years of related experience and an Associate's Degree; or two years of related work experience and a Bachelor's Degree; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
