The Digital Content Writer assists the marketing department in achieving Booth's marketing goals by developing strategic content across all of Booth marketing channels, with a particular focus on digital content for websites, social media accounts, and email marketing. This position offers a fair degree of autonomy in writing and editing to suit the opportunities and best practices of diverse media platforms, informed by Booth's brand strategy, brand voice, and point-of-view. The Digital Content Writer plays a key role in driving the Booth brand forward with engaging, creative, error-free content communicated through Booth's brand voice. The Digital Content Writer will utilize exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as enterprise for his or her work. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: As a part of the Marketing team, the Digital Content Writer:-Writes and edits content for Booth across all media channels: web, email, print, video scripts, social, etc., with a primary focus on digital for Booth's key audiences?prospective student, current student, and alumni audiences, as well as business and thought leaders.-Creates engaging, strategic, optimized, action-oriented content for social media and email for all audiences. -Adapts brand messages to best fit various digital channels.-Works with Content Team in the Marketing Department on redesigning and relaunching websites.-Manages the daily webpage update requests submitted by Booth's CMS users from across the organization (the "Workbox"), while ensuring those changes are error free and match house style.Conducts proofreads and QAs of digital content prior to publication. -Contributes to the Chicago Booth Magazine blog, The Kicker, by pitching story ideas to the team, reporting stories, and writing them. -Collaborates with creative, social, email, search, and interactive teams to optimize content for all media channels.
