Responsible for providing government relations support for both the North America Lottery (NALO) and North America Gaming & Interactive (NAGI) organizations. This includes advocacy, lobbying, communications, public affairs, corporate affairs. Legislative support, public procurement support, building coalitions, and representing the Company with customers, associations and other key stakeholders of our business. Position will support the company's business primarily in Nevada, but also in other assigned Western region states.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops and helps execute appropriate government and public affairs communication strategies.
Leads government relations efforts on the state and federal level to ensure U.S. public and commercial gaming strategy is executed to position the company for continued growth in this business segment.
Develops and coordinates strategy to promote regulatory approval at the state level and create new opportunities for both the Gaming and Lottery business segments.
Positions the company in key states with decision makers in the legislative and executive branches to drive green field opportunities and leads the on-the-ground-team in any legislative efforts to endorse gaming legislation.
Manages, coordinates and engages lobbyists/consultants in assignment segment or states which reflects the company’s best interests and protects existing business.
Works with government relations staff, external consultants, Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs), Account Development Managers (ADMs) sales staff, or compliance staff to jointly manage external communication with local, state, and federal governments in an effort to proactively pursue lottery and gaming opportunities and other business objectives within the United States.
Bachelor’s Degree, Political Science preferred.
8 – 10 years related experience.
Nevada legislative, political, campaign and business experience required.
Exceptional written and verbal skills are required.
Must have strong professional and organizational skills, attention to detail, computer skills, and be able to work independently.
