Make yourself at home with us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) The Manager, Information Delivery oversees the development, implementation, maintenance and operations of custom developed databases, including Enterprise Data Warehouses. The position is also responsible for collaborating with departments across the organization to identify information and reporting needs as a direct result of Data Warehousing. The position will write and maintain data level access routines including stored procedures, ETLs used in the application development process, and provide query analysis and support to other departments as requested. The Manager, Information Delivery will provide effective leadership and motivation to his/her team and serve as a key resource of information technology for the organization. Primary Responsibilities: Manages the development, maintenance and support of customized databases and enterprise data warehouses. Activities include working with the organization to identify reporting needs and assign resources to design and implement solutions Collaborates with departments across the organization, and manages the development and implementation of enterprise reporting solutions Works directly with other IT departments to manage the data-level access technology of internally developed applications Serves as a consultant to departments in the process of strategic planning, operational analysis, business design, solution implementation and project management as it relates to assigned projects Manages a staff of information technology Developers, Business Analysts and Data Architects to deliver effective service and systems to users. Maximizes staff performance and technical expertise through clearly defined objectives, training, skill development and leadership to ensure quality services to all customersManages effective communication across the company regarding the status and impact of information technology, and evaluates internal communication for effectiveness and consistency of shared informationCreates, monitors, and enforces standards, policies and procedures in relationship to information technology and performanceDevelops, coordinates and manages a responsible operations budgetMaintains up to date with new technology, which is appropriate and capable of supporting the strategic initiatives of the organizationPerforms all other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required. (Eight additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree) Five or more years of experience in a leadership capacity within an Information Technology group, with at least one year of direct supervisory experience Five or more years of experience with the creation and design of database structures Knowledge and use of a database management systems such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server Knowledge and use of standard report generating tools such as Business Objects, COGNOS, and Crystal Reports Preferred Qualifications:Related experience in a healthcare operating environment Experience working with a structured application development process in the health care industry Knowledge and use of web-based application design strategies Knowledge of multiple complex data stores and data warehouses integrations Experience working in an Enterprise Data Warehouse Experience with Health Plan data, applications, business processes and best practices Experience with middleware architecture, development and operations support Experience analyzing, creating and implementing enterprise reporting needs Careers with WellMed.
