The Executive Communications Specialist will report to the Chief of Staff in the President's Office and design, produce, update and inventory all presentations for the President and senior leadership of the University. The Executive Communications Specialist will serve as a liaison with Integrated Marketing and Communications and Institutional Advancement to ensure consistent design, brand messaging and quality of all digital platforms. The successful candidate must be committed to fostering a culturally diverse atmosphere for faculty, staff and students.
Primary Job Functions:
Creatively turn content into effective visual presentations.
Review all internal and external presentations for quality and branding.
Maintain a library of presentations for senior leadership.
Accurate plan logistics and details of the President's speaking engagements.
Effectively represent the President's Office with internal and external contacts.
Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution.
Proficient in Windows applications, file management, Apple iWork, and Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude for changing technology.
Knowledge of a creative suite product (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
Experience with various communications vehicles and social media platforms.
Expertise in design, development and technical production of executive presentations.
Ability to communicate information and data effectively with the use of animation and creation of charts, graphs and diagrams.
Ability to uphold brand and style guidelines.
Proven ability to work calmly under pressure and within a team.
Professional demeanor, exemplary interpersonal skills and high degree of comfort collaborating with internal colleagues.
Extraordinary organizational and planning skills and appreciation for the challenges of supporting the work in the President's Office.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at the highest level.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize appropriately and meet deadlines.
Exceptional communication, writing and editing skills. Ability to compose and critique communications materials.
Experience with video/photo editing.
