About the Position: The Senior Director of Internal Communications will manage and facilitate Cincinnati Children’s internal communication with leaders, managers, and employees (including physicians). The objective of this role is to facilitate and deliver communication that results in employees being informed, engaged and committed to personal and organizational success in an ever-evolving healthcare environment. This includes (1) developing and implementing impactful communication strategies, (2) developing and supporting corporate, strategic and brand messages, (3) managing an effective internal communication strategy infrastructure and channel mix, working collaboratively with the external communications team and HR, (4) coaching and supporting executive leadership in their communication role, and (5) helping with the overall enterprise change management effort.

• Demonstrated track record in developing results-focused communication strategies and plans that build strong emotional connections between employees, leaders, and the organization • Proven capabilities in providing communication coaching/support to executive leaders • Strong knowledge and application of best practices in employee communication • Demonstrated excellence in leadership, strategic and systematic thinking, influence, and people development (preferably previous experience in employee communications) • Robust knowledge and experience in communication measurement • Proven experience in the principals of effective change management and engaging employees in new strategies and ways of working and thinking to enable strong partnership with HR. • Demonstrated people development: Track record in supervising and growing team to deliver results. Drive collaboration across departments/functions, working effectively with centralized and decentralized resources. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Required: -Bachelor's Degree -Demonstrated tenure of progressively responsible experience managing internal communication programs in a large, complex organization. Significant supervisory experience
Preferred: -Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Social Media or related disciplines -Master's Degree -Experience within healthcare, academic institutions.
