Private International Lending (PIL) is responsible for the lending business of PWM. The Lending product has been a success in GS Bank USA, with PWM introducing the business to Asia in early 2015 (following a successful launch in EMEA in 2014). Since launching in the region, the Asia lending business has experienced strong growth as such PMW is looking to continue this momentum and further expand the lending product platform in PWM. A new [Analyst/Associate] level position has arisen to be an integral part of our plan to continue on the path in building a stronger lending business under PWM and the GS International Bank (GSIB) platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Key Responsibilities
Work closely with team head and regional lenders to support their marketing efforts to drive business growth.
Assist team with the communication and marketing of the lending and deposit platform.
Assist with internal communications and training of sales teams
Establish and maintain strong internal relationships to assist Regional Lending team to drive credit product sales.
Collate and enhance lending and deposit management information for Asia Pacific region.
Ensuring effective and consistent compliance to credit and control procedures.
Assist in the preparation of Business Selection and Credit memos.
Working closely with Margin Lending team and Credit Risk team on new deals, credit policy reviews and account monitoring.
Assist lenders in the resolution of product / client specific issues.
Support projects related to GS International Bank lending platform development, margin monitoring improvement and other system enhancement
At least 2 years' experience in the financial services industry ideally within private banking in a credit sales or credit risk related role.
Strong analytical, data mining and communication skills.
Strong inter-personal and conflict handling skills.
Ability to work independently with different functions.
Have initiative and be a self-starter, with self-confidence and a sense of approachability. Must work well in a collaborative environment. Detail-oriented and a commitment to excellence.
An understanding of margin and/or bank lending business and capital market products.
Proven ability to multitask, work in a strong fast-paced environment and be solution oriented.
Written and spoken Mandarin and/or Cantonese skills will be preferred.
