The Communications Coordinator works with the Associate Director, Executive Director and others to implement communications strategies with CTAT’s key constituencies including members and conference attendees. The Coordinator’s primary responsibilities are database management through the AMS and email platform, reporting responsiveness and conversions, and executing the communications schedule in an effort to increase brand awareness, web/social traffic, membership and attendance. This position will also collaborate with others in the association to achieve brand consistency, coordination of messages and the highest standards for external communications. One of the most crucial tasks of the coordinator will be the management of the email database as well as the creation and ongoing management of the communications calendar.
Support and coordinate communication efforts for leader groups and members.
Coordinate with Associate Director on updating web content; responsible for content related protocols to keep web site up-to-date
Assist with creation, implementation and execution of communications calendar for various leader groups and members
Coordinate with Instructional Councils to schedule timely communications and web updates
Assist with ongoing improvement of websites and social media including curating content
Provide e-communications support; manage Informz database, draft and format emails for approval
Track and report email open rates, conversions and web analytics
Utilize association management software to extract data for reporting and targeted communications
Develop and analyze member surveys on an as-needed basis
Communicate with presenters, track presentation confirmations
Collect and post presentations in conference mobile app
Collect and sort award application submissions, schedule award interviews and assist with awards ceremony
Coordinate scholarship presentations with CTSOs (career and technical student organizations)
Assist with on-site registration and other tasks as needed during two annual conferences
Ensure that the Association’s professional image is maintained in all email and print content and marketing.
Analyze critical needs in assigned areas and work collaboratively to design, implement, refine, and evaluate assigned programs in order to continuously improve the Association.
Communicate and collaborate with members to enhance service delivery, program development, and customer satisfaction.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations or a related communications field
2-3 years of marketing, communications or public relations experience
Experience with content management systems, association management software strongly preferred
Experience with e-communications including drafting and formatting emails
Excellent written and verbal skills
Proficient in Mac operating system, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite
Ability to work effectively with multiple individuals and manage several projects at once
Must be able to travel to two annual professional development conferences per year, board meetings, staff meetings and other events as assigned
Must be available for job training 2-3 days in the Austin area upon start of contract
Telecommuting is allowed.
Additional Salary Information: Part time 15-20 hours per week 1099 contract position
