Director, Operations & Internal Communications:Lead day-to-day operations across entire Alumni Relations and Development (ARD) Communications team and serve as integral member of AVP's senior leadership team. Serve as chief liaison to ARD partners to most effectively and efficiently produce high-quality strategic communications in support of ARD goals and priorities. Serve as gatekeeper for ARD Communications resources. Determine strategic worth of projects requested by ARD partners. Ensure that teams within ARD Communications are allocating resources, both human and financial, wisely and in support of ARD priorities. Advise on communications strategies to achieve ARD goals and priorities effectively in close collaboration with AVP, fellow senior staff and ARD partners.Advise on structure of ARD team, determine best processes and manage efficient workflow and processes. Organize project management team to meet ARD needs effectively. Determine and oversee implementation of best tools for project management.Lead internal communications. Oversee ForwARD intranet website and newsletter. Determine need for and format of additional internal communications. Act as primary liaison with ARD Human Resources and Staff Development. Lead onboarding for new employees regarding communications. Collaborate with ARD Human Resources and Staff Development and advise on communications content for ARD conferences and staff orientation.Manage day-to-day operations of ARD Communications and budget administration. Manage hiring processes for ARD Communications. Manage onboarding process for new Communications staff and advise on process as it relates to communications for all ARD staff. Advise on staff development for ARD Communications and actively pursue opportunities for team development. Maintain a firm grasp of ARD's goals and objectives, while understanding the broader University communications strategy and brand. Maintain a clear understanding of all development and fundraising goals, strategies and messages. Serve as liaison to various university offices. Advise and consult with units and schools regarding ARD Communications. Perform other duties as assigned.
