University Child Development School (UCDS) is an independent elementary school serving children from ages three through fifth grade. Located in Seattle's University District, UCDS serves 325 students and provides an innovative and highly effective approach to educating children.
UCDS is seeking a Special Programs Manager for our after-school programs. The Special Programs Manager (SPM) is primarily responsible for coordinating the daily function of After School Clubs and Summer Camps. During the school day, the SPM is responsible for the lunch program, a number of administrative support tasks and occasional substitute duties and administrative positions.
Clubs and Summer Camp:
The SPM handles day-to-day After School Clubs and Summer Camp functions, which include but are not limited to:
Ordering and distributing snacks
Creating and updating club/camp rosters and sign in sheets
Maintaining an active line of communication with parents of club/camp participants and the Office and Special Programs Director
Assisting club/camp Leads in getting participants to and from their clubs in an orderly and timely fashion
Tracking club Lead and Assistant hours for payroll
Coordinating with Special Programs Director regarding other tasks as needed
Procuring milk each week, and maintaining a supply of extra food on hand for lunches
Creating a clean and hygienic atmosphere for eating: ordering wipes, cutlery and other supplies
Investigating exciting playground activities and procuring new playground equipment
Weekly inventory and replenishment of playground supplies
Ensuring lunch and recess duties are covered
Administrative Support Tasks:
Maintaining daily attendance list
Maintaining All School Designated Pick Up List
Ordering and distributing office snacks and supplies
Acting as primary coffee company liaison
Placing public relations gift orders through Gift Tree
Back up front desk coverage
Coordinating with Office Manager and Office Director regarding other tasks as needed
