The Trade and Industry Division is seeking a full-time CMM Instructor. This position will be responsible for full-time instruction in CMM both online and in the classroom, maintaining office hours for mentoring and coaching students, success and retention activities, and utilization of Blackboard for communication and feedback. This position will teach on multiple JCTC campuses.
Other duties include but are not limited to:
Course and curriculum development
Internal and external community service
Educational leadership and professional development
Prepares students for careers in computerized manufacturing and machining
Plans and carries out instruction, and prepares learning materials in both theory and practice in computerized manufacturing and machining
Prepares lesson plans, instructional activities, and maintains records and reports on student learning
Possesses knowledge of industry specific technology and program competencies
Provides student recruitment and advisement, follow-up services to assist in student placement, and promotes public relations
Cultivates industry partnerships
Participates in professional development activities to improve teaching skills and technical expertise in the area taught
Serves on committees as required, keeps regular posted office hours, and undertakes other assignments as directed by supervisor.
Associates Degree and 4 years of related work, or work experience in the field and/or appropriate apprenticeship.
Recommended but not required: Experience with FANUC, Hurco, Bridgeport and Wire EDM controllers/equipment. The candidate should also be familiar with MasterCam X7 or MasterCam 2017 and AutoCAD Inventor.
