Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW), an NCAA Division I institution and a member of the Summit League, is accepting applications for the position of Head Track Coach. The head coach is responsible for all aspects in leading a competitive NCAA Division I Track program to include, but not limited to: coaching, recruiting, meeting NCAA APR requirements, fund-raising, positive encouragement towards student-athlete development, scheduling, budget management, public relations and hiring staff. This coach must be fully committed to all NCAA, Summit League, and IPFW Athletics policies and procedures and will be expected to work cooperatively with all constituencies and campus units. This individual will also instruct a health, physical education and recreation (HPER) class for the School of Education. The successful candidate must be committed to the student-athlete’s academic, personal and athletic development, and will demonstrate the ability to successfully recruit and motivate Division I student-athletes. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree and have at least one year of successful collegiate coaching experience at the Division I level. Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; a working knowledge of NCAA rules, a record of integrity and leadership to advance the goals of the IPFW Department of Athletics including fundraising and a commitment to the academic success and graduation of student-athletes required. Must have a valid driver’s license. Employment is contingent on a satisfactory background records check and Motor Vehicles Records check.
