OVERVIEW: In support of its mission and growth goals, UC Berkeley Extension is seeking a dynamic specialist to build its multimedia capabilities. The role will own the design, development, and implementation of projects and events that incorporate elements of technology, traditional and digital media, and brand messaging . While the position is charged with helping drive enrollments of highly qualified students and achieving record revenues, the work serves the larger purpose of empowering individuals to change the trajectory of their lives through education. The role is part of a strategic vision to build a cutting-edge team that leverages major innovations to continue bringing the best and brightest students in the world to UC Berkeley while generating new income for the campus at large.
Conducts comprehensive event planning for complex events, including conception, design, development, coordination, implementation and post-event evaluation. In partnership between Marketing and IT teams, designs and implements a standardized multimedia project workflow for events that aligns stakeholders and clients Ensures comprehension of workflow and project lifecycle among clients and partner teams Assists in planning for future business, including the identification and analysis of new projects, estimation of resource requirements, and subsequent proposal efforts Owns phases across media project workflow including prioritization, concept design, pre-production, post-production, distribution and asset management Meets and consults with clients on a variety of projects including complex assignments, and develops, presents, and recommends means and methods of vision execution Produces design, plans, resources and layout for a variety of digital media projects and initiatives Produces and shares deliverables in accordance with project vision; including design, final product, and post project artifacts Develops and maintains comprehensive event budgets and ensures that event costs do not exceed budgeted allocations. Determines and secures resource requirements to complete project delivery. Includes coordination of cross-departmental staff, assessment of need for contractor/vendor inclusion, input on team staffing/growth
Advanced knowledge of concepts, principles and best practices of event planning and public relations, including design, organization and production of complex events. Salary & Benefits
