The Senior Marketing Planner is an integral member of the Marketing & Communications team, developing, managing and executing marketing communications plans. The primary responsibility is to work with multiple stakeholders within the university, health clinics and centers of innovation, to advise, conceptualize, explore and implement integrated marketing communications plans through traditional and digital communications campaigns, community, business outreach and public relations opportunities. This role will develop proactive marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness, generate and nurture leads for academic and other business and community programs. The role will also explore and build strategies and tactics from paid and earned media, develop content, and work with graphic designers, printers, events planners, advertising and marketing agencies, public relations partners and others. Building strong and collaborative relationships with both internal stakeholders and external marketing / community partners is essential.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred in the fields of Marketing, Business, Communication or Journalism.
5+ years of experience as such: Experience working in an advertising or marketing agency, corporate marketing department or other progressive marketing venue. This position must have experience across a broad range of media at both a strategic and tactical level, must understand workflow management in a marketing environment and understand how to organize and lead collaborative, interdependent teams.
