Our association, serving the United States and Canada, is focused on helping our members grow and improve their businesses. Under new leadership and a growing team, we have been thriving, increasing our membership by more than 200 percent in just two years.
We enjoy a fun, relaxed, creative culture that prioritizes the contributions of all team members ahead of the importance of any of our formally defined roles or responsibilities. We partake in regular staff collaborative events and enjoy Friday afternoons off throughout the summer. We work hard, take great pride in our work and ownership in all outcomes, yet we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We give each other the freedom to use our individual strengths to execute our job descriptions, and we seek to provide growth-focused career development.
HOW TO APPLY:
If you think you have the skill set listed above, and you are someone with an entrepreneurial mind and someone who could fit well in our thriving culture, send us a cover letter explaining why you would be a good fit and how you would contribute to our success; a resume outlining your work history and qualifications; and salary requirements via this posting or to email@example.com. And if you’re so inclined, send us an optional 30-second video that explains why you’re the best candidate.
At the Marine Retailers Association of the Americas, we believe that for the boating industry to find success and grow, that our members must first find success and grow. Our members, boat and engine dealers, accessory retailers, marinas, and marine service shops, are on the front lines with boaters every single day. They contribute to and determine the quality of the boating lifestyle, and therefore are the direct link to ensuring the success of our industry. We work to help our members grow, make them more successful and help them run stronger businesses by providing them with tools, resources and educational opportunities and by representing them with a powerful voice.
This is an entry-level position. We prefer a background and/or degree in business, including sales, business management, public relations, marketing, entrepreneurship, etc.; as well as 1-3 years of sales or member relations experience, and a history of proven innovative thinking. You must have proven communication skills, both written and verbal, the ability to work well in a team environment, and a basic understanding of why driving customer loyalty is more important than closing the sale.
