The assistant director for video production manages all aspects of video production in the Office of University Communications. The assistant director works with departments, offices and individuals to conceptualize video projects designed primarily for external relations purposes. The assistant director manages and implements all aspects of videography, editing and distribution of videos via a variety of media channels. The assistant director also oversees the maintenance and continued development of equipment, facilities and archives for video production in the Office of University Communications. The assistant director also supervises one employee – a video producer.
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university.
Special Skills or Experience:
Extensive experience with a wide range of video cameras and recording formats; extensive experience working with equipment for video production, including sound, lighting, graphics and post-production video work.
Extensive computer software skills, preferably in MAC platform. Extensive experience in Adobe Premier and Photoshop with preferred experience in After Effects.
