Redstone Commodity Search are working with a global metals group seeking a public relations manager for their office in London.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
Responsible for the development and management of the European public relations (PR) and corporate communications strategy with a focus on establishing and promoting a strong corporate reputation of a truly global, innovative commodities and engineering brand
Manage all business-to-business (B2B) corporate communications as well as media and investor relations while ensuring and maintaining a positive corporate image
Create the strategy and promote the company's commitment in relation to technological, environmental, people and humanitarian issues. Additionally, managing the crisis communications (if and when required) as well as taking charge of the internal communications
Continuously enhance corporate, brand, and product messaging and communications in collaboration with the Global Corporate Communications Director
Reports into the Global Corporate Communications Director
Key Qualifications / Experience
Minimum of 10 years' work experience in public relations (PR) and B2B corporate communications with a focus on Europe; experience handling projects for companies from emerging markets (e.g. Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Turkey) highly desired
Background at a global PR agency (covering projects for commodity corporates) or current/recent experience at a commodities majors (preferably within energy – oil and gas; or metals or mining) or a background in the finance, digital or IT industry
Strong relationships in the international investor community and with the media in addition to a profound understanding of macroeconomics; knowledge of the international commodities markets with a focus on energy, metals or mining products is an advantage
Excellent communications, analytical and strategic skills, creative and innovative as well as positive attitude and not afraid of challenges
Located in London or happy to relocate to London, United Kingdom (GB or EU citizenship is required)
