Provides management of Regional Managers of Clinical Education with support to Clinical Educators in assigned regions across the SSM system;
Accomplishes education objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, developing and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; and enforcing policies and procedures;
Achieves educational operational objectives by implementing education standards, identifying and resolving problems and determining educational interventions;
Serves as a liaison to promote communication and collaboration between Regional Managers of Clinical Education with clinical leadership in each market;
Promotes standardization of education tools, processes and resources across SSM;
Conducts research, manage the development of clinical curriculum;
Supports leadership and innovation programs as they relate to clinical areas
Provides management of and is responsible for the overall system clinical education delivery and content development efforts.
Collaborates with System Manager of Education Technology to ensure exceptional employee experience with online and mobile learning applications to support clinical education initiatives.
Oversees clinical education programs to ensure quality; including training delivery, scheduling, and curriculum development
Responsible for planning, implementation, tracking and outcome for Education deliverables.
Identifies new opportunities and develops new education programs applicable to identified clinical learning needs of organization.
Coordinates and communicates activities with appropriate leadership and key stakeholders involved with education initiatives and or projects being managed.
Prioritizes activities and goals giving highest priority to strategic initiatives and organizational quality and safety goals
Coordinates the different education specialties lines to assure that each specialty line receives support to deliver education opportunities
Coaches and formally develops Clinical Education Market Leads
Builds and maintains positive professional relationships with customer group
Coordinates deployment activities with impacted resources.
Stays abreast of latest trends and practices in health care education
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree required
5 to 7 years of experience required
1 to 3 years of supervisory experience required
Experience managing educational programs; including developing and managing resources and work plans.
Adult Education experience and experience developing curriculum and training materials.
Adaptability and flexibility including ability to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change.
Excellent presentation, written and verbal communications skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience; with concise and tactful communication with senior management clients, peers and staff.
Ability to build teams and generate a spirit of cooperation while coordinating diverse activities and groups; people management and negotiating skills within a team environment.
