Serve as public relations and communications officer for the Tisch School of the Arts, Institute of Fine Arts, the Center for Ballet and the Arts, NYU Libraries, and the Kimmel Art Galleries and other clients. As a pro-active self-starter, provide excellent and prompt writing, generate fresh ideas about communications, and actively seek and identify publicity and communications opportunities that enhance the clients' reputation, both internally and externally, using traditional media and new/social media.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree
Preferred Education: Master's degree.
Required Experience: 5 years' news writing or public relations experience or equivalent combination.
Preferred Experience: 5 years news writing or public relations experience in an academic environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to apply social media to public relations.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of New York City and the public relations industry. Use of press list related management technology.
