The Website Manager is directly responsible for building and maintaining the website of the School of Public Affairs (SPA) and the websites of SPA’s seven centers, institutes and programs through the use of the content management system (CMS). The Web Manager creates, administers, and evaluates websites within SPA and SPA’s Intranet on SharePoint. This position works largely independently with oversight by the Associate Director of Communications and Content who leads the overall strategy and implementation of digital communications, including the web.
The Website Manager manages third party applications and/or coordination across applications and web-based platforms as needed, and is familiar with and passionate about web communications and the tools required to execute communications initiatives.

This position works independently on the majority of required tasks and is empowered to make decisions on behalf of SPA as it relates to the website and related projects.

Bachelor's degree in Digital Communications, Website Management, Business, Communications or a related field.
At least five years of professional experience managing a website and a general understanding of online marketing and communications
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate with vendors and agencies and coordinate with on campus resources (OIT, etc.)
Knowledge of social media tools, engagement methods and measurement - especially Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram
Project management experience
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while paying close attention to detail
Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS
Experience with content management systems
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite especially Photoshop or InDesign
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with particular attention to detail (web content publishing, etc.)
Demonstrated professional and collegial demeanor, adaptability
Knowledge of Common Spot a plus
